4 Days Trekking in Llahuar and Fure, Huaruro Falls

You are a lover of hiking through the canyons, you like clean air, so this is the option we offer you, so you can enjoy and relax in the white city of Arequipa.

Join us to explore the Colca Canyon differently and relax in the hot springs in Llahuar with a great view of the depth of the Colca Canyon.
Departure place
  • From Arequipa: Pick up from your hotel. Whenever it is in the center of the city and prior coordination with the Operator.
  • For places outside these limits, you must coordinate with the Operator the feasibility of your pick-up or Meeting Point or additional Cost.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arequipa - Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Cabanconde - Llahuar
  • 03:00 AM Pick up . From the hotel leaving the bus to Cabanaconde. Taking the North route, we will cross the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca (Pampa Cañahuas). After arriving at the highest area of Patapampa trip (4 800 meters above sea level) we will descend to the capital of the Colca Valley, Chivay.
  • Stop at Mirador . We will stop for 1 hour for breakfast. Then continue for an hour and a half more to the Cruz del Condor where we will be 1 hour to appreciate the canyon and see the condors. We continue to Cabanaconde.
  • 10:15 am Trekking. Start of trekking. We will leave the square of Cabanaconde towards the natural viewpoint Achachigua, from which you can see the depth of the Colca canyon.
  • Colca river. We will descend for 4 hours until we reach the Colca River, we will cross the river to closely observe the geysers and continue our way.
  • Trekking to Llahuar Lodge. From the Colca River to Llahuar Lodge we will walk for another hour. Once they arrive they can bathe in the thermo-medicinal waters, or practice artisanal fishing.

Day 2
Llahuar - Fure - Huaruro Waterfall
  • Breakfast
  • Trekking After our breakfast we will begin a walk of an average of two hours until we reach the town of Llatica from where we will have a beautiful view of its farmland and orchards
  • Lunch We will continue for an hour and a half more until we reach the town of Fure, where we will have lunch contemplating the wonderful landscape in which it is located.
  • Break
  • Trekking After a short rest we will hike to the waterfall of Huaruro for an average of three to four hours approx. (Round trip), this waterfall is characterized by being very high and in turn by the veil that is formed by the water that hits the rocks and the rainbow that is seen at the foot of it
  • Fure village. Then we will start the return to the town of Fure where we will spend the night.
Day 3
Fure - Oasis Sangalle
  • Breakfast.
  • Trekking in Llacta. After our breakfast we will begin a walk of an average of two hours until we reach the town of Llatica from where we will have a beautiful view of its farmland and gardens.
  • Lunch in Fure . Then continue for an hour and a half more until we reach the town of Fure where we will have lunch contemplating the wonderful landscape in which it is located.
  • Walk After a short rest we will hike to the waterfall of Huaruro for an average of three to four hours approx. (round trip), this waterfall is characterized by being very high and in turn by the veil that is formed by the water that hits the rocks and the rainbow that is seen at the foot of it.
  • Return . Then we will start the return to the town of Fure where we will spend the night.
Day 4
Oasis - Cabanaconde - Thermal Baths - Chivay - Arequipa
  • 05:00 AM Trekking . We get up at 05:00 in the morning previously coordinated with the guide to start the hike up to the town of Cabanaconde approximately 3 hours
  • Breakfast , in Cabanaconde, and then we go to the Chivay district, the most important town along the Valley
  • Medicinal Baths From there we will go to the thermo-medicinal Baths of La Calera with 38ºC where we can enjoy its relaxing waters. After an estimated time we will return to Chivay.
  • Lunch We have lunch at the time previously coordinated with the group and after a few minutes of rest return to the city of Arequipa
  • Lookout point On the way we will have the possibility to visit the Mirador De Los Andes (4910 MSNM) and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, then we will arrive at the city of Arequipa which we will arrive at approximately 05.30 pm
  • End This is how we will end this fascinating adventure.

What to wear Warm clothes because on the way to Arequipa-Chivay we go through the highest point of the road in which it is very cold, suitable shoes for long walks, suitable clothes for long walks, small backpack, change of clothes, Swimwear, towel, sandals, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, repellent, toilet paper, water bottle, flashlight, rain poncho (December to March)
