Trekking Lares - Machu Picchu - 4d / 3n
In the valley of Lares we will find diversity of flora and fauna, as well as native communities of the area, who receive us very warmly. Its inhabitants still practice traditional Incan customs.
- We will visit the famous natural thermal baths of Lares, especially recommended for patients of arthritis and rheumatism.
- The tour will finally take us to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the most important tourist attractions of the modern world.
Departure place
- Cusco or Sacred Valley: Pick up from your hotel.
- Whenever it is within the city center of the city (Center and Fence). For places outside these limits, you must coordinate with the Operator the feasibility of collecting or Meeting Point or additional cost.
Itinerary
Day 1
Cusco, Calca, Lares, Quishuarani (Lunch and Dinner)
- 4.00 am - Pick up from the hotel to the province of Calca and then to the Thermal Baths of Lares (Duration of the trip: 3 hours and a half aprox.).
- After a revitalizing bath, we will walk for a lapse of 8 hours.
- Prior to this, lunch after noon.
- We will arrive to the Andean community of Quishuarani, where it will be our first camp.
Day 2
Quishuarani, Cancha Cancha (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
- After a delicious breakfast, we will leave for a walk of 8 hours approx.
- On the way we can observe the Andean natural beauty, in coexistence with the Andean settlers.
- Then we will arrive at our destination: The town of Cancha Cancha, where we will camp the second night.
Day 3
Cancha Cancha, Huaran, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
- 8:00 am (approx.) - After breakfast, we will leave for our third day of hiking, after a brief visit to the local people.
- This day the walk will last from 4 to 5 hours approx. and we can appreciate from a distance the view to the Sacred Valley, among other beautiful natural landscapes, diversity of plants, orchids, etc.
- We will arrive to Huarán after noon, where we will have lunch.
- Then we will (by public or private transport) from Huarán to Ollantaytambo. Here the guide will leave us and we will have free time.
- 4:30 pm to 6:10 p.m. - Executive Train Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes.
- 6:15 pm - Transfer to the hotel.
- 8:00 pm - Meeting with the guide at the hotel.
- Overnight.
Day 4
Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Cusco (Breakfast)
- Very early, bus ride to Machu Picchu. We checked in and started our guided tour of approx. 2 hours.
- It depends on the traveler if you want to walk towards Puente del Inca or freely visit the citadel.
- Important: If you wish to climb the Huayna Picchu mountain, there is an additional cost. Advertise in advance
- In the afternoon we will return to Aguas Calientes for Lunch (free, on account of the traveler). Note: If you wish, you can walk to the Hot Springs (25 minutes).
- 2:00 pm - Meeting time at Aguas Calientes Train Station.
- 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Aguas Calientes Executive Train - Ollantaytambo.
- 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm - Transfer from Ollantaytambo station to Plaza Regocijo (1 block from Cusco's Plaza de Armas).
- Optional: Another train departure time - 7:00 pm (Arrival to Ollantaytambo: 8:30 pm / Arrival to Cusco: 10:00 pm).

Notes
- Because it is Trekking of medium difficulty (walks of up to 8 hours), it is recommended for people over 14 years old .
- If you wish to go horseback riding during the hike you must add USD 90 per person for the first 3 days (you can not ride on descent). From 2 to more travelers, it would be USD 75 per horse.
- For Students under 25 with Carnét ISIC - Discount of 25 USD on the published rate.
