If you have an adventurous spirit, this demanding trekking is your route. It will take you through an impeccable Inca trail, lagoons, snowy mountains, cave paintings and much more.
Departure place
- We have a boarding point in the districts of San Isidro and Los Olivos.
- We travel every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.
Itinerary
Day 1
LIMA - CANCHAYLLO
8:50 PM Meeting at the Municipality of Los Olivos. - 10 minute tolerance.
9:40 PM We meet at the Hyundai store located at the intersection of Javier Prado with Arequipa. - 10 minute tolerance.
10:00 PM We leave for the domains of Apu Pariacaca. Do not forget to have your ID or Passport.
Day 2
CANCHAYLLO - TANTA
5:00 AM Arrival in Pachacayo, gateway to the Nor Yauyos Cochas Landscape Reserve on the Junín side, and then continue to the town of Canchayllo where a replenishing breakfast awaits us. On the way we will enter the incredible Shujto Canyon. Later, the mobility will take us to the Abra Portachuelo (don't fall asleep, the landscapes along the way are worth it). Once there, we leave the mobility to start the trekking through the Qhapaq Ñan or Inca Trail, during the journey we will have views of the central mountain range, different lagoons and the Nevado Pariacaca where we will make an offering. We will descend Escalerayoc, a section of the Inca trail with 2,000 steps. At the end of that path is the Cuchimachay cave, known as “The Sistine Chapel of the Cave Paintings” for its huge and impressive figures. Following the path, we arrive at the Mullucocha Lagoon, we will skirt it until we reach the Paucarcocha Lagoon, from where the Cañete river is born. Here the mobility picks us up to take us to Tanta where lunch based on trout awaits us. And finally rest after an exhausting but rewarding adventure.
Day 3
TANTA - VILCA - HUANCAYA - LUNAHUANA - LIMA
We woke up very, very early to have breakfast and then start the trip to Vilca. There we will visit the forest of love, the papacocha lagoon, its square and the centennial bridge. Then we continue to Huancaya to see the Huallhua lagoon, the Carhuayno waterfalls (from the viewpoints) and its plaza. Finally we make a stop at Laguna Piquecocha in Vitis, and have lunch in Lunahuana. We will be in Lima at approximately 8 at night.
