Maras and Moray
- Start: The tour to Maras and Moray begins with the pick-up from your respective hotel in the city of Cusco and then be transferred by our tour driver to the archaeological site of Moray.
- Moray: It is an impressive archaeological complex located 74 km (46 miles) from the imperial city of Cusco, at 3,500 meters above sea level. Moray is an exceptional place because it contains a series of circular Andean roads, which, many scholars, consider as amphitheaters. The largest has 12 roads and has a depth of 100 meters (328 feet). According to some researchers, the circular roads in Moray served as a center for agricultural research, since each level offered different conditions (micro-climates) and allowed to grow different plants experimentally.
