Huayllay Stone Forest
Go through more than 7 lagoons until you reach the largest stone forest in Peru where you will make your imagination fly with the large number of curious shapes that exist.
Departure place
- We have a boarding point in the districts of Los olivos, San Miguel, San Isidro, Miraflores.
- Departures are the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
Itinerary
Day 1
LIMA - CANTA - HUAYLLAY (4100 masl)
4:10 AM Saga Falabella stop (Crossing Av. Arequipa with Jose Pardo) - 10 minutes of tolerance.
4:30 AM Hyundai Store (Javier Prado crossing with Av. Arequipa). - 10 minute tolerance.
5:00 AM Plaza San Miguel (University with the Marina). - 10 minute tolerance.
5:30 AM North Plaza (Main gate) - 10 minutes of tolerance.
Taking the route from Canta to Cerro de Pasco, we will see some lagoons, among them the 8-color Lagoon and the beautiful Chuchun Lagoon, here we will descend from mobility for the respective photographs, stretch our legs and continue then towards Huayllay. Half a day we will be arriving in Huayllay where a delicious 3-flavored Pachamanca will be waiting for us. After this delicious welcome, we board the mobility towards the beautiful Japurin lagoon. After this visit we continue to appreciate some of the curious formations of this immense stone forest such as the elephant, the alpaca, the Condor, the tourist, the toad, the fungus and many other forms that you can appreciate according to your imagination.
Day 2
HUAYLLAY - SING - LIMA
6:00 AM With those who wish we will go to the thermal baths of La Calera.
7:00 AM Breakfast.
8:00 AM We start a walk of approximately 2 hours through the stone forest where we will visit: The turtle, the bear, the genius, the toad, the witch, the valley of the nuns, the cave paintings of cuchipinta, he drinks, the crocodile, cobra, seal and beautiful valleys surrounded by rock formations with an impressive view of this part of the Huayllay sanctuary. We bid farewell to the hospitality of Mr. Alcibiades' family with a delicious lunch, to continue our trip to Lima.
