Itinerary
Day 1
Huancabamba
This experiential experience begins by leaving Oxapampa towards the Yanesha Historic Sanctuary “Yompor Yompiri” where you will meet some legends of the Yanesha community. Then heading to the Grapanazú sector, you will cross a small suspension bridge to make the first stop at the Vestiges of Punchao that hides a lot of history from the time of the conquest and the first European settlers. Continuing with the tour, you will arrive at the Haroxa distillery, where you will be able to observe the process of distilling liquor and artisanal elaboration of other derivatives of sugar cane juice, as well as liquors from the area such as Gallito Bravo among others. Then transfer to the Anana Waterfall to enjoy a good swim in its crystal clear waters. On the way back, you will arrive to the Huancabamba district to see its beautiful park and then enter the Yanachaga Project, where you can appreciate the work of the youth of that hostel in its different productive workshops and agricultural crops, in the same way you can taste and buy certified organic products that they make themselves.
