Hacienda Huando, Fundo Maria Paz, Wine Route and more
- Hacienda Huando was owned by the Graña Elizalde family, who planted the Washington Navel orange variety within the 1,450 hectares, which had no seeds; however, the origin of its production made the Peruvian population forget its formal name to baptize it as Huando orange.
- The Huando orange even received popular homage by being included in the countless nicknames created by the local criollada. To say that someone looked like a Huando orange was to maintain that "there was no pip." A cruelty that only Peruvians understand.
- Huando's production reached full splendor towards the middle of the last century. However, the agrarian reform in 1969 halted this growth. The farm lands were taken over by the workers through the Huando Agrarian Production Cooperative, which brought together nearly 500 people.
