Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome and City tour in Cusco:
- The day of your arrival at the airport or land terminal of the city of Cusco, our staff will be waiting for you, with a sign which will bear your name, and then transport you to the hotel of your choice.
- You will have free time to rest, adapt to the altitude and take your food.
- Between 1 pm and 1:30 pm we will be passing by your hotel to start the tour, we will visit: The Cathedral, colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value, the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the fine work that the Incas on the stone.
- Continuing with the tour, you will go to Sacsayhuamán, a fortress with a strategic location, offering an unrivaled view of the city, where the Inti Raymi or "Fiesta del Sol" is held every June 24, after which we will visit Kenko, Tambomachay and Puca Pucará, archaeological complexes of religious character.
Day 2
Tour in the Sacred Valley of the Incas:
- At the indicated time we will pick you up from the hotel and then head for a paved road to the village of Pisac, located 32 km from the city of Cusco, once we arrive at the place we will have free time to visit its colorful market and power make purchases of beautiful crafts and souvenirs.
- We will continue our trip to Urubamba for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then we will visit Ollantaytambo (the only city that maintains the urban layout made by the great Inka architects).
- In the afternoon we board the train to Aguas Calientes.
Day 3
Tour to Machu Picchu "The lost city of the Incas":
- In the morning we will go to the bus station, to ascend 450 m high, by a zigzag road, for 30 minutes until reaching the world wonder "The Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu", known as "The Lost City of the Incas" .
- Upon arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will pass through the control, where we will give our revenue tickets and begin our guided tour, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar clock, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and cemeteries, for more than two hours.
- Then you will be given free time, to take a walk through the citadel, in the afternoon we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and go to our Hotel, to take out the suitcases, and arrive at the train station with due anticipation for later head towards the station and board the train to Ollantaytambo, we will finally board the bus that will take us to the city of Cusco.
Day 4
Tour to Maras, Moray and Salineras.
- After breakfast we will pass by your hotel at 08:45 hrs. in our mobility, to direct the population of Maras through the route with very colorful landscapes and typical populations, we will first visit Moray, considered an Inca agricultural research center where experiments were carried out at different heights, its platforms produce a gradient of microclimates with the center of the concentric circular platforms having a higher temperature and gradually reducing outwards to lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different types of microclimates.
- It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only in the Urubamba Valley but also in different parts of the Tahuantinsuyo.
- Continuing with our trip we will visit the famous salt mines of Maras, known by some as "salt mines". They are made up of about 3000 small wells, built on one side of the mountain slope of "Qaqawiñay", which during the dry season are filled or "water" every 3 days with salt water that emanates from a natural manante located at the top of the wells so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it will gradually solidify. The pools are owned by the locals.
Day 5
Farewell
- Two hours before the departure of your flight, we will pick you up from your hotel and then transport you to the airport, where we will say goodbye and end our services.
