Kuelap or Cuélap is an important archaeological site in Peru built by the Chachapoyas culture. It forms a large stone architectural complex located on top of a mountain at 3000 meters above sea level. It is located on the left bank of the Utcubamba River, in the province of Luya. To visit it, we now have the first cable car system in Peru.

COThe Sarcophagi of Karajía, or Carajía, are a set of sarcophagi or coffins according to the funerary tradition of the Chachapoyas, up to 2.50 m high with human shapes. They were found in the Karajía ravine in the Luya district of the Amazonas Department, Peru) in 1985 by the Peruvian archaeologist Federico Kauffmann Doig thanks to references provided by Carlos Torres.

In the afternoon we visit the caves of Quiócta, located 10 km northeast of the city of Lamud, from where the tour begins along a paved road for approximately 20 minutes, until reaching the detour that leads to the caves. From this place the route is walking through a paved path for a time of 10 minutes until you reach the cave.
The Gócta waterfall is an impressive waterfall that measures 771 meters, at one time it was considered the third highest waterfall in the world, currently it is in the fifteenth position. Locally it is called La Chorrera and was discovered in 2002 by the German Stefan Ziemendorff, who noticed its existence when exploring some sarcophagi located on the opposite side of the Utcubamba valley, in the province of Luya-Lamud, department of Amazonas.

exuberant vegetation typical of the cloud forest, habitat of the Cock of the Rock,
Emerald Tucaneta, hummingbirds among other birds of the place.
After some time at the waterfall and taking photos, we return to Cocachimba.

The Revash mausoleums are a necropolis belonging to the Chachapoyas Culture. They are located in the district of Santo Tomás, province of Luya, department of Amazonas.
They were collective tombs that occupy natural caves or excavated in the rocky wall of an imposing ravine.
Described by the Peruvian archaeologist Federico Kauffman Doig, who maintains that the mausoleums are replicas of the houses where the people of the area lived.
In addition, we visit the Leymebamba Museum, an archaeological museum located in the department of Amazonas. The museum is mainly dedicated to the Chachapoyas culture and was inaugurated in June 2000. The Leymebamba Museum has 5 rooms: 3 archeology rooms, one for ethnography and one for educational activities.
